The Henley DBA
Our Henley DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) is designed to support research-focused professionals in working out complex practitioner-based problems.
The prestigious status of the Henley Doctorate in Business Administration means students can further their careers and contribute towards growing competitive advantage, differentiating themselves in the marketplace.
You will expand your professional network and form strong connections with your peers from different organisations, countries and backgrounds in a space that fosters new ways of thinking and diverse perspectives.
The Henley PhD experience
In all Henley Post-Graduate Research (PGR) programmes we seek to imbue researchers with the skills, knowledge, and behaviour they required to undertake world-leading research.
Our learning approach aims to extend your current skills and knowledge, and (via regular learning needs analysis) we hope to broaden your skills, deepen your knowledge, experiences, and outlook – developing both your professional and personal skills (as required).
You’ll work with a diverse cohort of fellow researchers who have a broad range of academic and professional backgrounds and we encourage PhD researchers to engage in academic events, as well as UG and PGT teaching.

Scholarships
If you apply for a place in one of our full-time PhD programmes in 2026/27 you are also eligible to apply for one of 18 fully-funded PhD scholarships.
We offer PhD scholarships covering fees and stipend for up to three years, awarded on the basis of outstanding academic merit to the applicants with the highest quality research proposals.

The Henley PhD experience follows nine core stages:
- Pre-enrolment
- Enrolment and Arrival
- Foundation (Year 1)
- Development (Year 2)
- Completion (Year 3)
- Submission
- Viva / Examination
- Corrections
- Graduation and Beyond.
