Overview
This programme aims to give you the confidence to approach topics you might otherwise have avoided, and make you more comfortable exploring the experiences of those with different backgrounds to you.
You’ll also explore intersectionality and individuality, developing an empathy and curiosity for the client in front of you as more than a sum of their characteristics, making you a more inclusive coach. You’ll finish the programme understanding that everyone holds a different framework of characteristics unique to them, along with their unique set of experiences, biases, and challenges – helping you more effectively partner with clients from marginalised backgrounds, with various lived experiences.
You’ll hear from a wide group of expert tutors, each sharing experiences of their own journeys as well as the focus of their work. They’ll hold an open space for you to share, discuss, explore and practice with others on the programme.
Most importantly, the programme will show you that supporting diversity through your coaching and beyond is a journey, not a destination, and – like all things reliant on self-awareness – will require constant exploration, learning and scrutiny to allow you to evolve along with the field of EDI.
