Centre for Euro-Asian Studies Grant for 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference Pre-Discussion
In collaboration with the British Embassy, the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies has been invited to host the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference (also known as the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of Parties or COP29) pre-discussion event on 22 October.
Professor Yelena Kalyuzhnova, Director of the Centre for Euro-Asian Studies, will be flying to Baku, Azerbaijan, to host the event. The theme of the discussion is 'A Farewell to Fossil Fuels?' to raise some of the key issues surrounding climate change and the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
The pre-discussion event will be hosted by Khazar University and is supported by Henley Business School, the United Nations and the Reading Youth Council. The main COP29 event begins on 11 November 2024.
