A History of Industrial Clusters: Knowledge Innovation Systems and Sustainability in the UK

This is a collaborative project about editing a new book on clusters with John Wilson at Northumbria University and Chris Corker at York Management School. We have organised and run a workshop as part of this research and have gathered 12 papers together around the listed themes. The work is building a new empirical base for the study of historical clusters within a framework of innovation, sustainability and knowledge-based perspectives. We hope it will stimulate further discussion on the diversity of experience in historical clusters across Britain and the wider environments.
