Research facilities

The first place we would suggest that users look for information is the OneSearch discovery tool and search engine on the Library homepage. Searching here will bring back over 66 million results comprising of journal articles, eBooks, reports, trade publications and many more types of resources.

To provide many of the results Henley Business School has access to a large range of eJournal providers, including: EBSCO Business Source Complete, Emerald, JSTOR, ProQuest, Ovid, Sage, Science Direct, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley.

FT.com provides coverage of UK and international business, finance, economic and political news as well as comment and analysis from leading journalists and insight into management trends and new developments. It also gives access to today's paper and an 8-year archive of FT news and analysis.

The Business School provides access to the FT.com to all users here. This can be signed up for by visiting the Library homepage and following the instructions there. Use the FT.com to research current business news which effects the companies you are interested in, and to stay up to date on what is happening.

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is the leading data research platform and business intelligence tool for over 30,000 corporate, academic, government and nonprofit clients at over 350 institutions in 33 countries. WRDS provides the user with one location to access over 200 terabytes of data across multiple disciplines including Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, and Statistics.

Financial and Industry Information - D & B Hoovers provides financials, news and analysis for 17 million global companies. This includes all Stock Exchange quoted companies across the world (approximately 40,000) as well as all active companies in both the UK (approximately 2.7 million) and 13 million companies from North America. D & B Hoovers is the place to find financial, descriptive and ownership information for individual global companies, or to search for companies with specific profiles and carry out analyses (e.g. peer review).

FAME is the place to find financials for individual UK and Irish companies, or to search for companies with specific profiles and carry out analyses (e.g. peer analysis).

Our subscription covers UK consumer markets, focusing on market trends, opportunities, risks, and product and brand innovation. There are also daily news articles on corporate, product and advertising activity keeping on top of current trends in the marketplace.

Financial Information - A database of listed companies, banks and insurance companies worldwide.

Financial Information - Orbis Europe is a database containing financial information on over 13 million public and private companies covering around 40 European countries. You can search for specific companies, companies that match a profile and compare peer companies.

Financial Information - Contains information about mergers and acquisitions, IPO and venture capital deals with links to financial company information.

Analysis, Industry Research, and Market Research - Passport is a global market information database and analysis tool containing comprehensive data and reports across all industries, countries and consumers. It can be used to find statistics and reports for: Company analysis, Consumer and household profiling, Country profiling, Industry analysis, Lifestyle analysis, Modelling and forecasting, and Trend monitoring.

Analysis, and Financial Information - Statista provides quantitative data and statistics on over 80,000 topics from more than 22,500 sources. Also included are reports, infographics and revenue forecasts on over 400 industries.
