An emerging theme of research in the department relates to the impacts of climate change and policy initiatives in the field of sustainability on the real estate and planning sectors.
As one of the largest departments of its kind in the world, we enjoy very close links with a wide range of industry and government stakeholders.
Our programmes are accredited by the relevant professional bodies The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

The Centre for Real Estate and Planning Research (CREPR) is committed to addressing “real world” issues and has a longstanding reputation for excellent research influencing business practices and government policy.
Our interdisciplinary research portfolio is strategically placed to address future real estate challenges, and brings together expert global knowledge in collaboration with our wide user networks and with other Henley and University of Reading research centres.
