The John Madejski Centre for Reputation
The John Madejski Centre for Reputation is a research centre that sees itself as a catalyst for positive change: working with and inspiring business, government and not-for-profit organisations to deeply explore the value of reputation, drive sustainable behaviours and business models and communicate for positive impact.

Introduction to the Centre
The John Madejski Centre for Reputation (JMCR) was founded in 2000 as a dedicated academic research centre in the field of reputation and relationships.
Our work is grounded in psychological theory and builds on the notion that organisations thrive by building supportive relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Building on a rich stream of academic publications and practical applications, the JMCR is committed to focus on three key areas of research and impact between 2025-2030. These areas are as follows:
- Reputation and Relationships: Enhancing knowledge about measuring and managing reputation and the strength of stakeholder relationships (being particularly mindful about currently less explored areas of knowledge, such as the context of the not-for-profit sector and the African context).
- Communication for Impact: Further knowledge on how organisations can better plan, implement, evaluate and improve communications (specifically for large scale behaviour change campaigns).
- Responsible Leadership and Sustainability: Enhancing knowledge and metrics about responsible leadership and leadership/board decision-making in relation to important societal issues, such as sustainability, and exploring the leadership mindset associated with hope, resilience and sustainability.
