Legacy
A legacy is one of the most simple and flexible ways of giving and your gift will support the next generation of real estate and planning professionals.
Leaving a Gift to the Reading Real Estate Foundation
Whether these funds go towards funding bursaries, a prize fund in your name or something personal to you, they will make a significant impact.
For more information about how RREF would use any funds you leave us or if you are considering leaving a legacy and would like to talk to a member of the team about it, please contact Dr Paola Tinti on +44 (0)118 378 4096 or email paola.tinti@henley.ac.uk
The David Robins Fund
The David Robins Fund has been created with the generous bequest of Dr David Robins, a Geography alumnus who graduated from Reading in 1954 before going on to gain a PhD and develop a career in town planning, notably developing the discipline in South Africa. The fund has been created in David’s memory to support the development of outstanding research in Town and Country Planning at the Department of Real Estate and Planning.
David Robins Fund recipients - Dr Emma Street and Victor Nicholls (Real Estate and Planning Department, Henley Business School), discuss the impact of the funding on their work on the Bracknell Town Centre Regeneration Project.
“The research work on the Bracknell regeneration project has benefited hugely from the money received from the David Robins Fund, by firstly paying for a researcher’s time with current experience on the project. It has also allowed us to share the lessons learned from the regeneration with the industry and helped to fund the creation of easy-to-read research guides to be shared in relevant local media and community launch events. The funding will continue to impact the academic understanding of New Towns by supporting a further review on New Town literature to underpin future academic papers and beyond.”
