Access Internship Scheme
Following on from our involvement in the Government funded Fair Access Internship Scheme that took place in summer 2010 we launched the RREF Access Internships open to all Part 1 and Part 2 Real Estate and Planning full-time undergraduate students.
The scheme aims to address issues relating to widening access to the profession and help students overcome some of the obstacles to participation which might be, for example, financial, social or experiential reasons.
We secure host firms with whom the students are placed and the students then can apply for an Access Summer Bursary, which is supported by the host firms and the John Tranter Memorial Fund, to ensure they are able to successfully undertake the placement.
The internship scheme is targeted at under-represented groups in the profession and is designed to help students overcome the obstacles which may prevent them from undertaking the work experience needed to enhance their career prospects.
In the summer of 2023 Apache Capital, Cadogan Estates, CAPCO, Cluttons, Crest Nicholson, Federated Hermes, GCW, Gerald Eve, Grosvenor Property UK, John Lewis Partnership, Lambert Smith Hampton, The Crown Estate, Tritax, Vail Williams and WP Carey hosted 18 students between them.
