Tim is a medical doctor specialising in behaviour change and wellbeing improvement. Tim trained as a trainer in motivational interviewing in the mid 90’s and has trained thousands of health and care professionals, managers and coaches in Motivational Interviewing, health, and wellbeing coaching.
Tim has been involved in number of national and international health behaviour change projects including Let’s Get Moving, The National Cancer Survivorship Project, and a train the trainer project around hazardous drinking in Slovenia. He is an adviser to Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine on their Moving Medicine initiative, and their Active Conversations course.
Tim has written several chapters and articles on different aspects of coaching (including using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassionate Mind based approaches), is medical adviser to the Rugby Players association, once pole vaulted for Great Britain and was a contender on ITV’s Gladiators.
