Mark is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a trained mindfulness teacher and co-author of Mindfulness for Coaches: An Experiential Guide (Routledge, 2017).
Mark works with CEOs and leaders to build innovative, high-growth organisations that thrive in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world. Informed by vertical leadership development, Mark enables leaders to develop more inclusive and inquiry-based leadership in order to bring about organisational transformation. He draws on the Leadership Agility 360 to increase leadership, team and organisational agility, and delivers mindfulness/neuroscience-based emotional intelligence training to increase focus, resilience, self-awareness, self-management, empathy and trust.
Mark trained as a mindfulness teacher at Bangor University’s Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, as well as with the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, the organisation that has delivered mindfulness training at Google for over ten years.
Mark is founding CEO of The Conscious Leader. Along with his 2017 book, he recently authored two articles for Coaching at Work: ‘Mindfulness as self care for the coach’ and ‘Be safe, be free’. Mark presented at the UK ICF Conference 2019 on ‘Mindfulness, psychological safety and innovation’, and will be presenting on the same topic at the Association for Coaching’s 8th International Conference in 2020.
