Gareth is a Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Practitioner with 15 years’ NHS experience, predominantly in intellectual dis/abilities services and adult mental health. Gareth’s current role is with the University of Leicester where he acts as a lecturer and trainer on a clinical psychology doctorate. His research and clinical interests include critical perspectives around mental health diagnosis, the Power Threat Meaning Framework, supporting people with intellectual dis/abilities, and supporting engagement with the climate and ecological emergencies. Gareth chairs the Association of Clinical Psychologists’ Climate Action Network and is a member of the British Psychological Society’s Power Threat Meaning Working Group.
