Dr Fabio Goncalves de Oliveira is a Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Henley Business School.

Fabio has 15 years of academic experience in higher education. Currently his research interests are in sales management, entrepreneurship, Web3, virtual reality and artificial intelligence impacts on people and business functions.

In 2021, Fabio earned a PhD in Digital Technologies and Corporate Governance from Henley Business School, the University of Reading. This involved a qualitative study exploring the experiences of board members about the impacts of digital technologies in their work. Previous academic qualification Fabio earned include an MSc in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hertfordshire in 2007 and an MBA in Marketing from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Brazil, in 2005.

Fabio is experienced in Web2 and Web3 applications and environments, such as Metaverse. He is also a certified artificial intelligence instructor for Huawei ICT Academy teaching fundamentals of AI, Python and TensorFlow.

Fabio has built in extensive industry experience acquired by working in Sales and Marketing directorship and managerial positions in multinational companies and supporting start-ups in Brazil and Latin America. He has designed and implemented sales and marketing strategies, teambuilding, marketing campaigns, trade marketing management, training programmes, go-to-market strategies and remuneration schemes.
