Location
Ed Tew is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant and has been teaching in HE for over 10 years.
In 2019 Dr Ed Tew joined Henley Business School as a Lecturer in Accounting.
After obtaining his professional accountancy qualification with CIMA, as part of his practice, Ed worked as a management accountant in manufacturing and commercial companies. Shortly after, he joined the education industry and started his teaching career for more than 10 years. From 2007 to 2009, Ed worked as the specialist of Management Accounting for the Centre of Excellence in CIMA at their London office. He provided educational consultancy for CIMA employer located mostly in the South East region.
Ed obtained his PhD at the University of West of England, Bristol and joined Winchester University in 2012 as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting until 2019. He teaches management accounting modules, and research methodology for both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
Ed is passionate about pedagogic research in Accounting education, more specifically in relation to critical thinking, group learning and the use of case study for learning and teaching. Other research interests include management accounting research. Ed has been an active member in BAFA AE Special Interest Group.
