David is an Executive Fellow at Henley Business School; within this role he draws upon his extensive client management experience. David tutors on both qualification and non-qualification programmes in the area of people management, business transformation and cross-cultural management.
David’s initial career started in the UK telecommunications industry (now BT), where he was professionally trained as a work-study analyst, and held various executive positions in administration and management services. Building upon this industrial experience David qualified as a communications lecturer and took up teaching posts at Guildford College of Technology. Upon obtaining his Masters Degree in Management Science David returned to commercial business and established a partnership with a Belgian organisation, SejoursEducatifs, to provide language and cultural training for European clients.
In 1988 David became a Visiting Teaching Fellow at Henley Management College. Clients have included the China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), Alstom, Siemens, Experian, Royal Bank of Scotland, DSGi/Dixons, Thistle Hotels Group, ISS and Danfoss. He is an active researcher and writer, producing books and articles focusing on human capital, cultural fluency and leadership. Primary research studies include the development of a corporate culture analysis tool (SCAT) with secondary research conducted on culture, CSR and human capital reporting.
David is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
