Chengcheng Miao is a Lecturer in International Business and Strategy (Human Resource Management) with industry experience in human resource management in a variety of types of organisations including consulting firms, higher education institutions and start-up companies.
Her research interests focus on expatriation management, in particular the cross-cultural experience of expatriates, such as power dynamics between expatriates and locals, language issues (language capital) and the effects of motivation on cross-cultural adjustment. She has a great interest in IHRM studies in the context of ‘China in Africa”. Her current project is an ethnographic study, exploring the lived experience of Chinese business expatriates in Tanzania.
She teaches modules on international human resource management, and markets, marketing and strategy at the undergraduate level.
