At a glance
Our Level 7 Apprenticeships are more than just training courses. They’re a strategic investment in the future of your business.
Our programmes are designed for both talented future leaders keen to develop their professional skills and experienced managers who want to drive strategic change. The programmes combine cutting-edge academic insight with practical, real-world application, which enables apprentices to:
- Gain a Postgraduate Diploma and professional accreditation, and top up to an MBA or MSc Degree: Our programmes deliver more than an apprenticeship qualification. Successful completion of the End-Point Assessment, and a Pass in all work-based projects makes learners eligible to graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma (subject to ratification at the Programme Examiners’ Meeting). Learners can then take the opportunity to top up to the Henley MBA (or MSc award for Future Leaders students.) The SLA also includes Chartered Management Institute accreditation, boosting credibility and capability.
- Build advanced skills: Empower your team with the tools they need to lead with confidence and deliver innovative change within your organisation.
- Apply tailored learning to work-based challenges: Modules that are grounded in real-world challenges and opportunities enable learning that can have an immediate impact.
- Grow personally and professionally: Unearth potential and unlock unique strengths with individual learning plans and opportunities for personal development.
- Future-proof your organisation: Bridge the skills gap, encourage critical thinking and equip your workforce with the expertise to navigate a rapidly changing business landscape.
- Benefit from a network of peers: Open cohorts enable learners to expand their network, gain new perspectives and share ideas with peers from a range of backgrounds and sectors. Learners will join Henley’s alumni network, which includes 100,000 individuals in 165 countries.

FAQ's
We've put together some frequently asked questions, but please contact your account manager if you have further queries or submit your questions here.
The UK government is planning changes to the Level 7 apprenticeship funding system as part of broader reforms to apprenticeships and skills development. The primary shift involves moving some Level 7 apprenticeships out of the scope of the current levy. This means businesses will need to fund more of these programmes themselves in the future.
Speak to your account manager, share this opportunity with your teams and nominate any employees who want to complete an apprenticeship so that they can enrol with a cohort before the funding changes take place (exact date TBC).
Apprentices must be employed by your organisation. This can include current employees as well as new team members recruited into the role.
- Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Business Administration learners typically have a degree and several years of management experience (a degree is not required if an applicant has more than 5 years management experience).
- Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Future Leaders programme may be early career employees identified as high potential.
Apprentices will build on their existing academic and professional skills with tailored modules that provide an in-depth understanding of strategic management and a range of subject areas that will support their development as senior leaders.
Both programmes combine personal development with collaborative group work and peer-based learning. We equip learners with cutting edge theory, tools and frameworks, which we ask them to apply to real-world challenges in the workplace.
The applied nature of the programmes helps learners to develop the skills required to make sound, evidence-based decisions in a real-world business context. You can find out more about the modules and course structure on the programme pages below.
We will be running cohorts throughout Spring and Summer 2025, with nomination deadlines in December, January and February. There may be further cohorts in 2025 depending on demand.
- The Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Future Leaders - Up to 21 months, including end-point assessment (EPA).
- The Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Business Administration - Up to 20 months, including end-point assessment (EPA).
After completing the apprenticeship programme, learners have the chance to progress to an MBA in Business Administration or an MSc in Management for Future Leaders.
