Description

All leaders want to be effective, efficient and successful, but true leadership starts with you. Being able to lead yourself first is the foundation for leading others, yet many of us don’t know how good we are as a leader until we’re tested by a crisis or emergency. Just how good are you at leading yourself? Is your mindset in the right place? Do you know how to demonstrate self-leadership to your people so that they will trust, respect and believe in you, and become loyal advocates?

The self-leadership model is the key that unlocks individual, team and organisational performance and success. It positions the mindset, and the key actions to take, to demonstrate highly effective self-leadership. When you understand this model and when you can demonstrate each of the three Es (connected Engagement, tactical Empathy and targeted Energy), you’ll become a leader that everyone wants to work for.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, you will have:

  • an understanding of how leadership of others starts by being able to lead yourself
  • knowledge of the four mindsets which are most likely to help any leader to lead themselves effectively (curious, interested, intentional and accountable)
  • an insight into the three Es that act as the key for self-leadership (engagement, empathy and energy)
  • the ability to demonstrate the three Es so you can act as a role model who attracts followers and fans.
