Although psychological safety is often discussed, it is rarely fully understood. Rebecca will outline the benefits of a psychologically safe environment, particularly in the context of diverse and inclusive organisations. She will describe the key elements of psychological safety, including attitude to mistakes, speaking up, feedback and transparent communications. There will be a focus on tangible, real-life examples of the cultural norms, processes and systems that can either support or hinder psychological safety at work.

Professor Rebecca Jones
Professor Rebecca Jones is the Director of The Henley Centre for Coaching and co-founder of the Inclusive Leadership Company. Her research examines the factors that influence coaching effectiveness, and her consultancy practice focuses on working with organisations to create diverse and inclusive workplaces, using coaching and psychological theory and research to achieve sustained behaviour change. Rebecca is the author of Coaching with Research in Mind and her research has been published in world-renowned journals.
