Description

Do you sometimes encounter situations at work where you need to have a difficult conversation? Sometimes managers don’t know what to say and avoid dealing with the issue, hoping that it will eventually disappear. However, often the problem persists or becomes more serious, making it even more challenging to address.

In this practical and interactive online masterclass, we will share some frameworks which will enable you to confront tough situations with compassion and skill. You will also learn how to deal with team members who play the role of victim.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session you will have:

  • Explored the kinds of situations where you find it difficult to have conversations
  • Practised applying a model for having a ‘fierce conversation’ with other participants and received feedback
  • Learned how to address victim mentality and avoid the ‘drama triangle’.

Who this is for

  • Managers and leaders who lead and performance manage teams.
  • Managers and leaders who find it tricky to have ‘difficult’ conversations with team members/others.
  • Those who avoid those conversations at the risk of allowing an unhealthy dynamic to develop in their team.
