In this context we may ask how managers understand the ways in which digital technologies are transforming business practices? What are the biggest challenges to responsible business practice when engaging with digital technology? And how might managers best respond to these?
During this event we will:
1. Explore how managers who tackle corporate responsibility, ethics or sustainability issues in their role understand the necessary balancing of business and societal interests when engaging with digital technologies.
2. Discuss how managers imagine the relationships between humans and artificial intelligence and what that means for business ethics.
3. Hear from industry experts from Business in the Community and Asesoria Group about their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of new technologies for corporate responsibilities.
4. Ask participants to contribute to the development of a white paper on how to engage with digital technology responsibly.
This event is funded by a British Academy/Leverhulme small grant and hosted by the Digital Marketing, Consumers and Society research group at Henley Business School.
