Simon Durling – Investment Director at Quilter Investors

Prior to joining Quilter in April 2024, Simon worked as a Senior Commercial Strategist at Santander Asset Management where he founded and authored the 'State of Play' weekly market update. His career spans over 35 years, at organisations including Barclays Bank and St James Place.
James Hughes – Investment Director at Quilter Cheviot Ltd

James’ primary role is to construct and manage investment portfolios across a range of asset classes for private clients, pensions, trusts and corporates. Portfolios are individually tailored to ensure that they are suitable for and meet the requirements of the underlying client. In an increasingly complex financial world, it is imperative that clients are comfortable with investments that are being made on their behalf, clear communication with clients is therefore a major focus and key to building relationships and trust.

During his time there he was also responsible for chairing the equity selection committee as well as being a member of the asset allocation and portfolio construction committees. James joined Quilter Cheviot in 2019.
James co-hosts a bi-weekly “Taking Stock after the Bell” podcast you can find it here: https://www.quiltercheviot.com/news-and-events/podcasts/taking-stock-after-the-bell-podcasts/
