Description
The aim of this session is to enable leaders to be more comfortable and skilled in addressing the uncertainty involved when leading change.
We will explore where uncertainty lies by looking at the real leadership challenges you face in your organisation – and why. We will also raise your awareness of your individual relationship to uncertainty, and make apparent the importance of having a clear, robust relationship to uncertainty when leading change. Next, we examine specific, effective ways of leading and managing change that respond to the challenges uncertainty presents. Drawing on a range of models, as well as real-world examples, the session will finish with each participant developing practices to take away that will make a tangible difference.
The masterclass will be highly interactive and practical – its success is heavily reliant on your willingness to share personal challenges and develop the learning of others. This one is not for the faint-hearted!
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session, you will:
- know where uncertainty resides in organisations during change
- be more aware of your personal relationship to uncertainty
- be able to respond effectively to personal ‘triggers’ of uncertainty
- have identified an individual practice, behaviour change, that you want to implement
