We welcome you to our Greenlands campus for our Executive MBA preview day in February. Join our faculty, alumni and recruitment team as they give you an introduction to the Henley EMBA experience.

10:15: Taster Workshop with Associate Professor, Clare Calderan. The topic of this session;

Miss Wilkinson, could you please tell the select committee, did your greed bankrupt Wilko?

The corporate collapse of Wilko came as a surprise to many, but could analysis of the financial reports and media commentary before the collapse have led to a better understanding of the risks and the board's response to those risks? In this session, we will consider a brief assessment of the financial performance and warning signs, alongside actions taken by the directors to mitigate the impact of the challenging economic climate. If the financial status of a firm is not sufficiently robust to allow the implementation of strategy, then it doesn't matter how good the plan is.
