Harmony

Henley is delighted to be invited by Tech Industry Gold to nominate apprentices for the TechSkills National Apprenticeship Awards 2023. Harmony was one of those nominees we were delighted to put forward.

Supporting statement from Henley

Harmony has a real passion for excellence, and this shows through all aspects of her studies and work. Recently, she put forward a meticulously-planned business case to expand the IT team in preparation for future digital transformation projects. This was accepted and will lead to momentous changes in how her company operates and interacts with various systems. In her studies, Harmony has equally excelled and is comfortably sitting with an overall score that should lead to a distinction. However, Harmony has a slight problem: she is painfully shy and always seeks to avoid the limelight or any praise, even when it is well-deserved. She might not admit it herself, but Harmony deserves this recognition.

One of Harmony’s greatest strengths is her inquisitive mind; trying to understand why things happen and applying that knowledge to how she operates at CAF Bank. The tools and framework she has mastered and is now applying to her role at CAF Bank, have broadened her understanding of problems from a different number of angles, allowing her to generate insights and ensure that her analysis is well-rounded with the result that she feels greater confidence in being able to express a point of view.

A great example of this was her work on the CAF Bank Alignment Maturity: Strategic Alignment of Business & IT, where Harmony highlighted a number of weaknesses within the Banks strategy but did so in a constructive and compelling manner, covering a variety of aspects from the Technical Solutions, People Capability and Cultural aspects. This was distributed to the CAF Bank Exec. The outcome of this has led the Bank to review the ongoing operating model brought about by the strategic re-platform programme, SPARK, to make this multiple million pounds programme a success.
