How to apply
Apprenticeships are funded by the government through the employer's apprenticeship levy. So you will need your organisation's support before you can apply.
Before you can apply to join any of our apprenticeship programmes, you need to be formally nominated by your employer. We therefore recommend that you discuss this opportunity with your line manager.
Eligibility
To start an apprenticeship, you must:
- be aged 16 or over (no upper age limit)
- have the right to work in England and spend at least 50% of your working hours in England during your apprenticeship
- be in a permanent role or in contract for the duration of your chosen apprenticeship programme
- have eligible residency status.
Baseline assessment
In your baseline assessment, you will need to demonstrate the need for new learning of the knowledge, skills and behaviours as outlined in the apprenticeship standard.
Other entry requirements
For full entry requirements, please refer to the relevant programme page.

Next steps
Your employer will need to formally nominate you to join the apprenticeship programme.
Once you have been nominated and your eligibility confirmed, you will be sent a baseline assessment to establish your knowledge, skills and behaviours. You will then receive your online application link. Typically there is a two-week timeframe for your application to be completed.
